Will The Star Tribune Partner With Monster?

As a follow-up to a post earlier this week about Monster’s announced partnership with Adicio, whereby Adicio’s newspaper clients can upsell listings on Monster to their employer advertisers, I read that one of the newspapers in the Adicio network is the Minneapolis Star Tribune. After the paper’s sale from McClatchy to Avista Capital Management, the Star Tribune no longer has access to the Career Builder network (though it had never leveraged that affiliation anyway). Given the herd mentality around job board/newspaper partnerships sweeping the industry these days, the paper is most likely hunting for an online jobs partnership. It’ll be interesting to watch as new publisher Par Ridder wrestles with the decision about whether or not to cede more ground to Monster.
