The LinkUp Blog The Industry's Best-Kept Secret
From the Intern: A Post for Job Seekers
As a rising college senior, the job search process has become a part of my daily life. For many job seekers, this is the case. The job search is not a task to be taken lightly; and it does not conclude without a high level of effort and dedication.
Well, this summer I was offered the opportunity to work for LinkUp as a marketing intern. Not only would I get the marketing experience I was looking for, but I would get to spend the summer delving into the job search process and coming to understand how to best dissect the process. Through this experience I get to see this from both sides of the equation – through they eyes of the job seekers, as well as by the employers.
As a college student, I understand that it can be hard to know where to begin. I understand that it can be difficult to know what you need to work on, where to look for advice, which advice to take, and what is relevant to you, personally. Part of my job this summer is to look into all of those nitty-gritty details for you, the job seeker.
I will be researching different social media platforms and their uses and strengths, handing out tips on what to look for in an employer site, and more.
Look for my upcoming weekly posts on the best social media tools for you and your search. Thanks for reading and I hope you get as much out of this research as I have!
